ASEE/NSF Strategic Investments Summit (SIS)

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), will host the ASEE/NSF Strategic Investments Summit on September 27-28, 2018, Alexandria, VA.  This meeting is inspired by ASEE’s interest in establishing a resource center to enhance the participation of colleges and universities in sponsored research in the fields of engineering and computing.

This summit will convene senior institutional leaders who drive innovation and research culture at our nation’s small and medium colleges and universities to define and prioritize actionable solutions to the obstacles that impede the expansion of research at their institutions.  Attendees will hear from other senior leaders who have successfully grown sustainable research enterprises at their institutions, explore innovative solutions, network with federal program officials, and participate in a facilitated process that will inform the NSF of the desired capabilities of a national resource center to accelerate research in engineering and computing.

Institutions who participate in this meeting will have priority in the selection of a pilot group for the proposed resource center.  For more information contact: soarce@asee.org
